Eski bir alkolik olan Don Koch, hapse girene dek etkileyiciliğine güvenerek yaşamıştır ve ailesinin sorumluluğunu üstlenmek zorunda kalır. Başarılı eşi ve büyüyecek ailesi ile birlikte yaşamak için banliyö köşesinden yıkık dökük bir ev alan Don evi tüm hızıyla tamir etmek için oraya taşınır.
